Welcome

Anton Teese with his late grandfather’s violin A “Collin Mezzin” 1899 violin.
Anton Teese has played his grandfather’s violin in a number of bands.
A founding member of “Ragwort and Thistle” and the “Briagolong Bush Band” playing Australian and Celtic music for dances and festivals.
Anton and Wylva (who plays Double Bass) perform in the group Continental Drift. A string trio, sometimes a quartet with Jen Hawley and Terry Cole to play a wide range of music often described as “European Café” style of sweet swinging gypsy jazz.
Anton teaches violin in Williamstown a beautiful seaside suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Also for fun, he has developed a Music & Movement set of sessions.
For littlies which has been delighting Kindergartens and Child Care Centres for the last ten years.
Anton is the music arranger and democratic leader of a local group of amateur musos known as ‘Willy Philly’ who are slowly getting known in wider circles. Playing in vineyards and for Charity concerts – this eccentric mob will have a go at anything from classics to jazz to reggae & Bartok .
Frustrated with the quality of the sound from available violin pickups he has developed the ”Antbug” which gives a beautiful natural violin sound, does not feed back and the player can speak whilst performing and not be heard.
